“Laid back tales of an old soul with a guitar. Really delightful listening…” – Nkechi Anele (Triple J)
2019 was a big year for Melbourne folk artist Nathan Power with international appearances, national tours and a hundred shows including slots at Yackandandah Folk Festival, Nightjar Festival, Bendigo Blues, Nimbin Roots and Frankston Waterfront Festival.
Borrowing from the folk, blues and bluegrass worlds, Nathan’s music is dark and rich, combining childhood stories of growing up Africa with a cynical take on modern life. Think Leonard Cohen meets Lloyd Cole, wrapped in a toe-tapping bluegrass band including double bass, mandolin and guitar.
2020 saw the launch of Nathan’s second album, a national tour and festival dates across February and March.
