“America Won’t You Make My Dreams Come True?, featuring a brilliant back-and-forth duel with the album’s producer Clare ‘Lollies’ Reynolds… striking, is the obvious embracement of both musical and lyrical freedom, with Lane shifting the spectrum of his alt-country base in both directions — traditional blues/country twang and shinier, uptempo nonchalance.” – Rolling Stone
