“Monaro brilliantly weaves a rock and roll tapestry of cool, fun, and anything but vanilla and laces it with the razored tongue of a hardened heart.”– KUTX
Go Fever is an Austin-based indie rock band fronted by Australian songwriter Acey Monaro. Heavily influenced by late 70’s New Wave with contemporary references ranging from Alvvays to Neko Case, the band just released their sophomore album. Daydream Hawker, a 5 track EP, was recorded at Public Hi-Fi, Austin, engineered by Brad Bell (War On Drugs) and mixed by Ali Chant (PJ Harvey, Gruff Rhys, Perfume Genius).
Their eponymous debut LP was independently released in February 2017 and pushed its way onto the North American College and Community Top 20 Adds Chart. The Austin-American Statesman raved: “the self-titled album, built around Aussie ex-pat Acey Monaro’s solid songwriting, was one of 2017 strongest debuts.”
The band toured the record nationally and have supported White Denim and Mini Mansions. Go Fever will be touring Daydream Hawker in the Spring, including shows at SXSW and Treefort Fest.
