Francesca de Valence is an Australian artist, award-winning songwriter, entrepreneur, international speaker, educator and the founder of I Heart Songwriting Club; a global movement inspiring songwriters to creative freedom.
An ‘uplifting, enlightening, and empowering’ force for songwriters world-wide, Francesca has written articles for Songwriting Magazine UK, facilitated regular ABC Radio live songwriting segments in Australia, and facilitates songwriting workshops globally in-person and virtually in conjunction with Folk Alliance International, Rio Music Market, BIGSOUND, APRA AMCOS, Irish Music Rights Organisation, UBC and Ivors Academy.
The prolific songwriter has also supported artists including Jimmy Webb (USA), Belinda Carlisle (USA) and Deacon Blue (UK) and her music can be heard on national radio around Australia, France and Ireland. She has performed at iconic global music venues including The Bitter End (NYC), The Viper Room (LA) and The Ruby Sessions (Dublin), at festivals including Folk Alliance International New Orleans, MOFO (Hobart) and Brisbane Festival, and has even performed a concert in Paris entirely in French language. When she’s not on the road or her creative hub in Paris – eating baguettes and writing songs for her musical and visual experiment du jour, Francesca can be found in her hometown of Brisbane.
Through her social creative enterprise, I Heart Songwriting Club, Francesca is the spiritual and creative midwife for over 13,000 new songs from 23 countries around the world and the club has helped develop over 900 artists.
