Emma Swift is an Australian-born songwriter, currently residing in the USA. A gifted singer inspired by Sandy Denny, Marianne Faithfull and a plethora of dead poets, in 2020 she released the critically-acclaimed Blonde On The Tracks, a Laurel Canyon-esque reimagining of some of her favourite Bob Dylan tunes on Tiny Ghost Records.
Produced by Wilco’s Patrick Sansone and featuring Robyn Hitchcock on guitar, Blonde on the Tracks was featured in the Los Angeles Review of Books, UNCUT Magazine, The Irish TImes and more. It received Best of 2020 nods from No Depression, Folk Alley, Slate, Rolling Stone, Nashville Scene and The Guardian.
Emma is currently working on an album of original material tentatively titled Slow Dancing With Ghosts. The songs explore sex, death, spirituality, depression, redemption and radical self-acceptance.
