“Sydney band Death Bells produce music that can be dark and morose, but there are also some elements of melody and hope in their sound.” – Noisey
Sydney band Death Bells traverse the boundaries between jangled-guitar post-punk and anthemic, contemporary indie rock. Their debut album Standing At The Edge Of The World is awash with melancholia and immediacy. Songs lend themselves to a sense of drive bundled with pop sensibilities, which has seen the group garner a loyal international following.
Standing At The Edge Of The World aims to articulate instances of human strength and self-preservation. Songs voyeuristically interpolate hardship of all kinds with positivity. There are songs about loss, addiction, stagnation and giving up.
The band are set for a busy 2018, with a new 7″ forthcoming on Burning Rose & Funeral Party early in the year.
