Alice Skye is a Wergaia/Wemba Wemba person living and writing music in Naarm (Melbourne, Australia). Since her first album, the critically acclaimed Friends with Feelings, she has signed with Bad Apples, the Indigenous-driven label that celebrates and prioritises’ blak excellence.
Alice’s upcoming sophomore album I Feel Better but I Don’t Feel Good was produced by local artist Jen Cloher. Her work continues to look inwards and explores finding staunchness in softness.
Packed with fire and moulded in tender vocals, Alice’s music has garnered strong attention for the indigenous indie singer/songwriter with plentiful radio air time and digital streaming along with performances on many of Australia’s festival stages. Alice took home the Emerging Artist Award at the 2019 Australian Women in Music Awards as well as the inaugural First Peoples Emerging Artist Award in 2018.
