SOUNDS AUSTRALIA is a joint initiative of the Australia Council and APRA|AMCOS, supported by the Federal Government together with state government agencies and peak industry associations.

Australia Rocks the Pier is an annual Australian concert held on Santa Monica’s iconic pier as part of the Twilight Dance Series – one of the largest and most successful free festival-style concert series in Southern California. 2014 marks the 30th year of the concert series and the 5th Australia Rocks the Pier. The Australian concert draws 10,000 cheering fans to the pier as contemporary Australian rock is showcased to an influential Californian audience. Previous Australian performers have included Missy Higgins, Ben Lee and Kasey Chambers.
This year Jagwar Ma will be heading to Santa Monica to headline Australia Rocks the Pier, presented by G’Day USA. Fascinator will play the second set and G’Day USA are offering the opening set to a deserving Australian act/band.
A panel will pick the winner from online entries. To enter, send a demo, a bio, a band/artists photograph along with a 50-word blurb explaining what it means to you to be part of Australia Rocks the Pier 2014. The best entries will be posted on the G’Day USA Facebook page as well as shared on the G’Day USA Twitter account and the G’Day USA Instagram account.
